Influenced by streams of water flowing from nearby Seokbyeongsan Mountain into the ocean, the water is comparatively warm. Around Okgye Beach are Gangneung Industrial Complex and Okgye Port which is famous as a trading port as well as a fishing port. The beach is always visited by many fishing lovers all year around. We encourage you to bring or borrow a fishing rod and have an exciting fishing experience only sea fishing can provide. There are plenty of good restaurants around the area you can enjoy after fishing.

Especially, Okgye port was designated as a port for cement transportation as a part of Okgye city planning project, so Gangneung Industrial Complex was built next to the port. The complex now takes an important part of cement business in Gangwon-do Province.
